YES! You can register in-person the morning of the event. Doors open at 6:30 am Thanksgiving Day if you want to register in person. Come on down!
You can register online through the event as well.
Do all participants get a t-shirt?
Only the walkers/runners that participate in the Grateful Gobbler Walk in person starting at Coolidge Park receive t-shirts. Sleepwalkers do not receive t-shirts. Volunteers also receive a t-shirt.
Do the walker/runner shirts have long sleeves or short sleeves?
The participant shirts are long sleeved.
When can walkers/runners pick up their t-shirts?
For those who chose to pick up their shirts in person, here are the three options for t-shirt pickup prior to the event.

Wednesday, November 22nd 10am-4pm @ Coolidge Park, 150 River St, Chattanooga, TN
Thursday, November 23rd 6:30am-8am @ Coolidge Par, 150 River St, Chattanooga, TN
If you chose to have your shirt mailed, those will be mailed out on Wednesday, November 14th. If you order after November 14th and choose to have your shirt shipped, we will do our best to get them to you by Thanksgiving, but can’t guarantee it.
Can I participate without registering?
All walkers, except children 5 and under who do not want a t-shirt, must register and wear their walker/runners’ number, also called a runners’ bib, to participate.
How much does it cost to participate?
Registration is $30 for individuals 13+ and $15 for kids 12 and under. Register before November 12th to guarantee your t-shirt.
Sleep walkers and virtual walkers are $20 each. (No t-shirt)
Is my registration fee tax deductible?
Yes. Your registration fee is 100% tax deductible. The Grateful Gobbler Walk has a very generous anonymous donor that is covering all event expenses so 100% of the money raised will go to the new Shelter for Homeless Families.
Is there a deadline to register?
Online registration will be available through the end of the event. The team contest will end the day before Thanksgiving at 11:59 pm.
I haven’t registered yet. Will walk-up registration be available the morning of the event?
Yes. Walk-up registration will be available Thanksgiving morning starting at 6:30 am. Walk-up registration will also be available the day before Thanksgiving from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm at Coolidge Park in the pavilion. Online registration will be open until after the event.
